A word that goes on

Sometimes the reason you're moving is to replace your current job with another one. For example, it seems like someone who was an "engineer" is trying to change his job to a "salesperson." Is this good or bad? To conclude first, this is only possible on a very limited basis, which is generally almost impossible.

1. People who are worried about the future ahead of their late 30s and 40s

In late 30s, a "hardware support customer support engineer" contacted me that he wanted to change his job after two years of AI and ML to "data management." He worked hard.

People who work in "hardware" usually think about it at this age, or about 40 years away. They often want to switch to "software solutions," or they want to stop supporting customers, or they want to go to sales support or sales.

(Personally, I'm all for you to challenge yourself in sales. But if you're going to do technical work anyway, it's all the same everywhere.)

Anyway, there are times when those thoughts usually come together with "transfer." I received a resume that I did this time, too.

Let me begin with the conclusion. If you have that in mind, first, you should 'turn over jobs' within the company!! It is not easy. Moreover, the better a person is at work, the harder it is. I don't want to let him go. However, even if it is difficult, you should do it first. In this case, turnover is almost impossible.

2. The president cannot leave important tasks to an inexperienced person.

When you move, the company hiring you will have to hire an "unexperienced person." This is because you may be an expert in some tasks, but you do not have experience in the tasks you are trying to change. A company cannot hire someone like that and entrust them with important tasks. So this is not going to be the case.

If you work for one of the industry's top-level companies, you can lower your company a little bit and try this challenge by moving to a smaller, smaller company with a smaller salary. In most cases, however, you'll have to pay for the pay cut.

However, most HR recruiters and hiring managers are not happy about lower pay. This is because they are often "re-hired" within the near-term.

Moreover, the candidate himself did not struggle to get a degree by studying hard until he got to graduate school in order to "get a lower salary." Rather, it is the opposite. He did it in order to earn a higher salary in the distant future. No one wants to lower their salary. There could be a reason such as "a step backward for a step forward." However, you are already in your 40s and have a family. The reason for such a romantic relationship is that it is only briefly possible when you are single and single.

3. Conclusion

If the breadwinner is so irresponsible, who will the wife and children trust to live with? It's a challenge when you have money to spare. If your father is rich, do as you please. However, if that's not the case, then be sure to "turnover jobs" first before you move to another job. The job change is done with the years of experience that have been built on the same job experience. ! Please remember that. ^^
